Below is just a sample of what our subscribers have to say about the valuable role MedInfoNow plays in their professional lives.
- “MedInfoNow is very valuable to me because [it provides] easy access to results of new studies.”

–Paula Eppenstein

– Molly Krumpelbeck
American Physical Therapy Association Member - “I really like MedInfoNow, particularly the Weekly Literature Update. With MedInfoNow, I don’t have to go to Google Scholar. It saves me a ton of time.”
– Namkee G. Choi, PhD
Professor, Univ. of Texas at Austin School of Social Work - “I do use My InfoSearch regularly, thank you for asking. I set up the information search initially to meet multiple interests and needs… Topics of interest range from…neuroscience to all things oncology (especially anything related to breast cancer) to topics related to advance practice nursing in general to education of nursing students, which is my job…I am not aware of another tool available to me that monitors publishing activity in all of these disparate topics and provides me with a weekly update in a “tree” format. The tree format allows me to pick and choose what I want to look at with consideration for the amount of time I have in any particular week. Some weeks I open each section systematically to review all titles and authors and other weeks I pick and chose what I want to review. Sometimes I don’t get to the list on Friday (which is when my weekly list is delivered via email) but I do get to it later in the week…If I do take a look at the list of titles and authors and I find there is something I want to investigate further, I have access via my university library to almost every journal identified in the My InfoSearch. Therefore if an abstract looks interesting, it is easy for me to get a copy of the article. I find My InfoSearch to be an easy way to keep up to date on evidence, especially in topics related to my dissertation research.”
– Ginger Payne Keller, RN, MS, CNS, OCN
Sigma Theta Tau International member - “I like the format and enhanced content of the new MedInfoNow – easy to use!”
– Cheryl Silver,
New York Medical College - “I am quite pleased with your new web site layout. This is so much easier to find the articles and information. This way it is just easier and a time saver for someone like me who gets way too much in my inbox!”
–Gail Sas
ACSM member - “I’m a big fan of your service. It helps me out a lot. It is the most time-efficient way for me to stay up-to-date with the literature.”
–Stuart Willick, MD, FACSM
Associate Professor
University of Utah Orthopaedic Center - “I really enjoy MedInfoNow because I am … constantly writing on our website and we are always looking for evidence-based information, and this site provides it.”
–Dan Riley
Memorial Hermann Sports Medicine Institute - “Throughout doctoral study and dissertation research, I found My InfoSearch to be an extremely helpful resource. The weekly updates helped me to quickly identify and review new sources within my area of research. Now, as a full-time faculty member, I am depending on the service as a very quick source to new articles in a variety of topic areas. I can quickly read the abstracts, and if an article seems like it will be helpful, I can search to the article itself.”
–Noël Kerr, PhD, RN, CMSRN
Illinois Wesleyan University School of Nursing - “Congratulations. The color scheme, layout and design are more inviting, navigable and user-friendly.”
–Susan Bachenheimer
Membership Coordinator
The Society of Federal Health Agencies (AMSUS) - “It is very difficult for me to check new articles constantly. The literature information you send me every Friday is very helpful. [I use your weekly updates] to prepare a brief review article every month on a topic selected from manuscripts regarding neurodegenerative diseases.”
–Nobuyoshi Iwata, PhD
Information Institute for Medical Research
Japan - “Congratulations on the new MedInfoNow. What a dramatic improvement with the potential to dramatically alter how MedInfoNow has been viewed or utilized to date.”
–Frank Krause
(former) Vice President & General Manager, Publishing
American Medical Association - “As a clinical nurse specialist who focuses on populations of interest, mentors other nurses to be better consumers of the literature to support their scholarly projects, and obtains evidence to support policy and procedure development, I have found the Weekly Literature Update service to be one of the best investments I have made to facilitate my work. Given the enhancements demonstrated, this resource will prove to be even more valuable in meeting my needs.”
–Christine L. Maghrak RN, MN, PMHCNS-BC
Clinical Nurse Specialist – Nursing Service Administration
Marshfield, WI - “I wasn’t quite sure at first about the new design, especially as the number of references was drastically reduced. But having used it now for some months: The focus on articles for my profile is much clearer and I don’t have to work my way through pieces of little or peripheral interest; use is very easy; downloads are more responsive than they sometimes were in the old format; it gives me the opportunity to look elsewhere if I wish to. No negatives at all. ”
–Michael Copeland - “I like the new format. I also appreciate the fact that I now have fewer abstracts to view – makes time go quicker. I am primarily interested in strength training, so as much of that as you can provide would be appreciated.”
–Frank Claps - “Two comments. 1) The new Weekly Literature Update is easier to navigate than the old system. 2) The number of articles seems to be less than before, however.”
–Scott Owens - “While there was some adjustment involved, I am finding the new format to be a big improvement. It is easy to navigate and contains all the information I have come to expect. You provide a wonderful service. I think a mobile phone/ipad app is a great idea!”
–Jeff Moss - “I always look forward to receiving every Friday in my e-mail the latest articles published online as made available by MedInfoNow. As a researcher, I find the weekly updates very valuable. I am happy with the way you are sending the articles. Right now, I am not sure if I can suggest areas of your service requiring improvement.”
–Elijah Kehinde - “I think it’s easier to maneuver with the current set up. I think there’s less clicking back to source. I review the latest research weekly, to post to a web forum for AHSA, so I constantly have to go between screens.”
–Ann Kulichik - “The new format is very accessible and well-organized, at least for me. A mobile site for use on a smart phone would certainly expedite access.”
–Britta Schramm
